ipa for v1.155

Post by mesniu » Sun Mar 29, 2020 10:18 pm

I've got some older hardware I'm trying to get working an iPad 3 with a Behringer IS202, and was wondering if anyone had the ipa for v1.155 they'd be willing to share.

You don't need an ipa. If you own the app, you should be able to download the last version compatible with your iPad by going to the App Store and going to your purchased items list. Search for Auria and it should let you download it.

That’s right. Apple automatically archives old versions for users with previous iOS versions. When you go to reinstall, iOS will use this older version if your iOS version is incompatible with the latest one.

That's what I thought. But the App Store still installs the latest version. This is on an iPad 3 running iOS 9.3.5. I was able to install, but when I open the app the CPU auto maxes out. I was hoping that I could find a pre-version 2 version of it to install, but I've had no luck.

I mean yeah, the new version works great in my iPad Air 2, but that's not always where I can "work" at the time if that makes sense.

So no one can help me out on this?

When I made an inquiry about this about nine months ago, Corey said the iPad 3 hardware wasn't up to the task and that my experience would be "less than ideal." He was right. Waaaaaaaaaaay right. Oh so right.

This is why I was looking for a pre-v2 ipa.

I wish I could help but Apple only saves the last version that’s compatible with your device. So the much earlier versions are not available and we don’t have any way of sending them to you. IPAs can only be installed if you jailbreak your device and for obvious reasons were not allowed to support that.

Rim - I get it.

I ain't mad though. I DISCOVERED WORKAROUNDS!

My main issue was needing a version of Auria that wouldn't crash the iPad. I bought the app just before version two, Pro, and the Pro Upgrade options were released. So THIS time, when I re-installed Auria on the iPad 3, I chose NOT to restore purchases, leaving me with the actual stripped-down version of Auria I was looking for. No synths/extra plugins necessary, as I'm using this setup to record all my actual synth hardware (Ok those aren't the synths I recorded, but last night was only a test).

I was able to get a test recording done, exported it to AudioShare and then to Lurssen Mastering Console to tidy it up.

Hardware (pic attached):
AKAI SynthStation 25
Behringer iS202
iTouch 4
iPad 3

Apps:
SynthStation
Alchemy
SampleTank
Auria
Lurssen Mastering Console

Check it out.

Thanks for all the information, and keep up the good work like you always do.
