Re: Active Auria Artists Demos/Masters
My first serious attempt at an electro song. I feel I'm learning so much from Auria. Despite being an absolute novice it really makes its competitors (especially Cubasis, which does have its pros) look basic in comparison. I'm just starting out and so I'd really appreciate any feedback cos its so hard to get anyone to listen.
This was originally created in Korg Gadget. I then imported into Auria and added in an acid loop from Rebirth (got to love the 303!). I added vocal through my Blue Yeti (love it but it's soooo sensitive) and found distorting through Saturn blended the vocal in better. I chopped up the background loop in Wow2 although the there is still a glitch with Auria so had to bounce this down (thanks Rim for that bit of advice), and then messed up some really boring loops with Turnado a treat. I used the PSP compressor and limiter. I have since bought pro-c, pro-mb (tricky!), and pro-l so in the future I may go back to it.
Would love anyone to listen and comment/ advice more than welcome!

@Aron, ajmack302. really loved your hard hitting track. The levels were great and the sound was uniform and clear. Great use of Auria. Good that you music is back on track. Cheers and thanks for sharing your music with us..

I really like the riff in Claw. What an original sound, where everyone else is slamming their mix, up against a noise wall, Claw (recording wise) has a very open feel to it. The writing itself is, as I said, very original sounding.ajmack302 wrote:Hi guys. Been a while, but here's a new one from me.

If this song came on Slacker radio I would NOT hit next. How's that wrap it up in a nutshell for ya?

The Dawn (remix) Original music from c-minus
Fresh remix! Recorded, mixed, mastered in Auria. Amazing DAW, looking forward to Auria Pro (and the ability to save "scenes" or templates) Centered the overall stereo image a little more this time, also experimented with keeping the muddier frequencies centered and stretching the highs a little wider; used "Audio Mastering" as a plug-in to achieve this end.

New mixes from c-minus
Trimmed a lot of mid-low end "fat", played with intro/outros a little, actually experimented with Saturn as a mastering tool on 1 or 2 of these (had only been using for guits up till now) Thanks for your comments and feedback!

I'm curious... what are your favorite mics? Do you all mix to monitors or headphones or both?
