Major Auria Announcement
Re: Major Auria Announcement
+1 for lanes and electronic music. Not only does it keep things separated, which can be handy, it allows for asynchronous looping of controller information and easy reuse of clips on different tracks (simple copy and paste of the lane clip vs copy a clip with notes and several controllers, paste, clean out unwanted stuff and merge). For repetitive things like drums, it allows you to have your basic beat on one lane and fills on another. Much simpler editing. And, of course, take storage. On top of all of that, with Auria Pro offering all of that juicy real time MIDI processing, it's easy to imagine even more interesting and useful ways lanes might be used.
I'm not in a rush for it but I do hope it secures a favorable position on the other ever swelling master list.

Day 1 purchase. Keep up the good work!
Re: Major Auria Announcement
So are more third party plugins on their way as well? Specifically, instruments to use with the new midi?
I mean instruments beyond the one mentioned.
Not looking for details or even names, a simple yes or no answer will do.

Yes, we're talking with more third party developers about midi instruments.

Hey Lester,
Think of them as tracks. Example would be, you have a Hi Hat and a open Hi Hat. They could both be on the same mixer/audio-channel but still on seperate/2 lanes or 2 files. You could mute/solo one or the other within said channel.
Meanwhile they would both go through all the same effects assigned to that mixer-channel.
Another is if you were to record a vocal for instance, and it was on a loop, each time the sequencer looped, it would create another lane/track on the channel you are recording on. So you may have three vocal takes that all start at the same place, but in different lanes.
Another way to look at it is grouping. When you have grouped all your drums together, you still have the option to seperate them in their channel-lanes.
It sounds right in my head.
Thanks King - Appreciate you taking the time to explain - Sorry for the late reply

Rim, we gave you a good break, now we need a fix!
(1). Where is this video we were told we would get?
(2). What is the latest news for 'Auria Pro'?
(3). What is the date for release? (the vagueness of the word 'Spring' is not enough anymore). Days, weeks?..
I personally can think of nothing else right now, all other apps and software have taken a back seat, both in my mind and in my iPad.
Last night/this-morning, I bought 'Volcano 2', and recently 'Timeless 2 and Saturn', just getting myself ready...
I guessed more plug-ins would become available, (even when Pro is launched). Good!
So I'm trying to hold back from buying more right now, but 'Fabfilter' is a must. (For me!)
On the 12th of January 2015 the Auria forum had its most users online at any one time. This is BIG!!!

Re: Major Auria Announcement
Matt and Corey are still working on the video. Should be out soon. No other news to report yet, I am still working hard on getting all the features polished up before beta.

Re: Major Auria Announcement
If it's not in beta yet then I'm guessing it's going to be late spring, or maybe summer
Re: Major Auria Announcement
I can wait. Really. I have patience.

Ok Rim, cheers for the semi-update.

Re: Major Auria Announcement
Hi Rim.
Just wondering how many Fabfilter Twin 2 instances we will be able to run.

Re: Major Auria Announcement
Hey Rim,
If I double tap the inserts (IN) buttons they affect the Aux knobs for that track.
Insert 1, turns up Aux 1... and insert 2 and 3, turn up Aux 2. Who knows what the insert 4 button is affecting, but it displays a '-C-' in the display area.
Also the undo has no effect over this apart from a readout. But nothing is reverted.
Hope you know about this for Pro?

Re: Major Auria Announcement
The number of Twin 2 instances you can have in one project will depend on your iPad model, CPU usage etc. I haven't done any detailed CPU testing yet.
@King, if you're seeing a bug in the current Auria version, please post it in the bug report section. I'll be glad to take a look at it.
