Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw
Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw
@runaway / @Rim: Any further development on this? I see that the current version of AAT will do Auria->Reaper (for example) but what about Reaper->Auria? Is that still in the pipeline?
Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw
You are correct that the current version of AAT will convert an Auria .prj session file to all other formats that we currently support. The reverse - not so much.Washboy wrote:@runaway / @Rim: Any further development on this? I see that the current version of AAT will do Auria->Reaper (for example) but what about Reaper->Auria? Essentially, since my last post we have/had been side-tracked with a range of (to be honest) more in demand and therefore more financially beneficial formats and enhancements, so the bottom line is (given our strained resources) that this had fallen through the cracks
But your post has prompted me to at least put this back on the table, just be aware that also on that table are some other big ticket items that we are trying to squeeze into our next release.
BTW Just for the record Rim has been most accommodating and the holdup is all at our end

@runaway: It's very kind of you to respond so quickly. I, for one, perfectly understand your commercial decision and juggling of resources. It's good to know that we've not been forgotten though!
Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw
Hi folks.
I, like Pete, am a user of Auria and Sonar X3. I just want to record my tracks in Auria, then export the wav files into Sonar. How do I go about this, and will the wav files lose any quality? Thanks in advance

Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw
I'm no expert but there doesn't seem to be an option to export stems - happy to be corrected
If there was such an option there certainly wouldn't be any issue with 'losing quality' that's for sure
If I'm correct then just export an AAF and send it to me via the contact page on www.aatranslator.com.au and I will convert it to an OMF that Sonar can read and that should get you out of strife.

Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw
I've noticed there is a mix down option box, where you can select wav file as the output file. I'm wondering if I could just export each track this way, without changing anything on the mix down export?

Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw
Makes sense but soloing each track one at a time could take a while
Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw
Auria has a stems export option in the mixdown box. Just choose stems, and if your project is 24 tracks, you'll get 24 individual mixed down files.

Thanks Rim, but where do the files go to?

When creating a stems mixdown, the file get put into a folder with the name you chose into the Documents folder.

Hi Rim. When I select mix down, then select stems, export options are greyed out, the only options you can change are the bit depth 16, 24 or 32!

Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw
I think you have to choose wav file format for stem mixes
Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw
That's right - which options were you interested in changing?
