Import AIFF audio files

Post by ltf3 » Tue Mar 26, 2013 7:03 pm

Just noticed that Auria can't see audio files on DropBox with the .aiff extension. Needs to be .aif .

Is that by design?

Thanks

Yep, that's something I noticed, too. 1.07 addresses this for non-dropbox (local) files, but not for dropbox. I'll add that to the list for next time.

I'm really REALLY new at this... I just bought Auria last night!

I was trying to start a project where I wanted to import a drum backing track that was an .aiff file and use it on track 1 of auria, with the intention of recording bass/guitar/vocals on other tracks. But, how do I do this? My .aiff file is in Dropbox, but I can't upload it to auria. I have no idea how to get started on this.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

For dropbox, you need to rename your aiff file to aif.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'll try that.

If I wanted to assign a recorded drum track to a specific track in auria, what's the best way to do this? Should I use aiff/aif or should I use a wag file?

It really doesn't matter if you use wav or aif. They are both the same. When you import the audio files, you can choose which track they should go to in the import dialog.

Has any progress been made on supporting the aiff extension on Dropbox files?

Not yet, possible 1.10.
