Lyra Samples downloaded/unavailable

Post by gibhart » Tue Sep 05, 2017 10:42 am

Greetings. I'm just getting up to speed in Auria Pro and have it installed on an iPad Air 2. I've downloaded the Salamander piano from the in-app store. The problem I'm having is that it doesn't seem to be available as a Midi instrument. Am I missing a critical step here?

The Salamander piano is a sample that works inside of Lyra. When you add a MIDI track, you should be able to choose that piano from the list of samples available inside Lyra. Remember that you need to press the record enable button on that track in order to hear anything while playing your keyboard.

Thank you for the reply. I downloaded Salamander last night and it wasn't showing up on the instrument list even after download was complete and a decompression box had popped up. Strangely, I just opened up Auria this afternoon and another box showed up indicating the file was decompressing. Bingo! It works now. Apparently the decompression process was hung up for some reason. It works now and sounds fantastic.
