Drum apps that work with auria pro?
Drum apps that work with auria pro?
I am looking to get drum sounds on auria without using a live drum kit. I have used Lyra and drumagog. Is there any other drum apps like DrumPerfect pro that will work? I like that you can call up drumperfect pro in auria pro and use it. I saw a program called drum session. Has anyone used drum session? Any drum app ideas are greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping me out.

I've had some good results using SampleTank and buying the drum kit expansions.

I will look into sampletank. are the expansion packs expensive to upgrade with? Thank you for telling me about this. I have not heard of sampletank.

I've used Drum Session and like it a lot. It comes packed with loops for various styles. Each pattern is totally tweakable, if you wish to modify it. You can save patterns, fills, etc. as songs. It will export individual tracks to Auria, to which you can add effects, replace using Drumagog, etc.
It also comes with a bunch of different kits, which can be used with any of the patterns.
I like it because it comes with lots of fills, which is the hardest thing for me to program. They are easy to tweak and get going on your song without spending a lot of time on programming drums.
If you're interested in hearing Drum Session, here's a rock song on which I used it. I imported the drums into Auria and did a quick mixdown. I think the drums sound very good. I've since picked up FabFilter Pro-R, which makes the drums sound even better.

Thank you for the replies. I am thinking drum session is the way I am going to go but I have to try out sampletank first. I like the programming idea in drum session. That is very nice. they have a lot of drum loops and fills in the program. Nice and easy for me to do then. I am glad it works with auria pro.

I usually compose my drums in Drum Session first then set the midi output to play DrumPerfect into separate drum tracks in Auria.

DrumPerfect is a nice app. Did you guys get any if the iap drum kits? I was looking at the percussion one and the rock kit. The demos sound nice.

I got drum session today. Very easy app to use. I have to figure out how to send the tracks to auria pro. It looks like it will do it. I sent a file to Dropbox and just have to download it to auria pro. If there is another way please share how.
I also found funky drummer. Has anyone used that app with auria pro. It sounds pretty cool on their demo. I want it to transfer the tracks to auria with a simple way. Has any one used funky drummer with auria pro? I have a little left on my Apple Store card. I can get another drum app to have fun with. Let me know what other thoughts you might have.
Thanks you for your help,
Jody.
