So it looks like Auria currently is have an issue with the Mackie MCU protocol which is why the transport controls are not working. This will be addressed very soon and then the K-Mix transport section will be back up and running.

As far as controlling the rest of the unit- right now all other features of the K-Mix respond to MIDI messages only. So in certain plugins (like FabFilter's) that allow MIDI mapping, you can custom map the K-Mix to control plugin parameters.

I will keep you posted with any further developments.

A year later, wondering what the current state of affairs is with the K-Mix.

Is it correct to say that it works fine aside from the transport controls?

Thanks

As far as I can tell there is no change from the Keith Mcmillen team. You can email then to see if they have any updates on adding new remote protocols to the K-Mix. They were throwing the idea around of adding HUI support but I have not heard anything recently.

Thanks.
Can you confirm that it works well as an audio interface?

Does it provide 8 in and 8/10 out to Auria?

I've seen only rumors and the K-Mix manual makes no mention of iOS.

Edit to clarify: I ask also because K-Mix isn't listed on the Compatible Audio Interfaces page.

geremy answers my question.

Why isn't the K-Mix listed on the Compatible Audio Interfaces page?
geremy wrote:Happy to report that with the latest firmware (5/27/2016) the k-mix is working very well. All 8 ins and 10 outs show up in the io matrix. Recording is good...

K-Mix shows 8 in /10 out in Auria.

That's strange the K-Mix was in the compatible interface list, but it seems to have disappeared. I will add it back to the list along with some new updates later next week.
