MP3 Encoding

Post by Aeron » Fri Feb 10, 2017 7:21 am

In order to play tracks via USB stick on my car stereo, the tracks must be in MP3 format. The system will not play M4A. This is useful for testing a mix on different systems and currently requires conversion of the mix in a separate app.

I recall reading that MP3 output format was removed from Auria due to licensing issues but will there ever be an option added to use an in app purchase of an MP3 encoder - thus giving the choice?

It's something on my list, yes. I would love to provide that option in the future.

+1 MP3 option. I'd buy that.

Yep!

And hoping to have Auria able to play back these files (MP3) again, within a project. This will reduce 'possibly' gigabytes worth of data.

There are some files that don't need to be wav, e.g. a reference track, or guide vocals, etc etc..
