A very strange bug, and its a big one
A very strange bug, and its a big one
I have built a song out of .wav samples....
I have one particular track that i had some samples that i have deleted.....only they still play in the mix.
The level meter drops to zero, as if there is no sound being played. But the deleted samples still trigger.
When i solo that particular track, they disappear.
So i soloed each of my tracks to try to identify where its coming from. Turns out its from a drum track, which is also a .wav but the levels do not bounce to the ghost sounds, but only the drums
I pull the .wav out of the song, and the particular ghost sounds are NOT in it....
Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like an interesting bug indeed! Have you ever used audio warping on these tracks? Have you moved the position of the tracks around in the editor (moving tracks themselves, not the audio regions)?

No, i havent used audio warping, nor have i bounced any tracks....
The samples did originally exist in his specific section of the song, but even though i have removed them, they continue to trigger....

Did you go to the "Import Files" menu, into the project folder, find the offending samples, and swipe left to delete them? Do they exist elsewhere in your file folders?
Re: A very strange bug, and its a big one
I still want the samples to play in other parts of the song, so no, i havent deleted them.....
Re: A very strange bug, and its a big one
And now god d!mn it, its happened again......
Suddenly my drum track has combined itself with my vocal and a guitar track...
Only this time, when i export the drum .wav, it actually has the vocal and guitar sound embedded in it.....
No bouncing of any kind has been done....

It must be something that's corrupted with that particular project. If you import those audio files into a new project, I'm guessing the issue will go away.

I've started a new project....
Auria now freezes when i try to delete any one of 4 empty tracks.....
Either there is something wrong with my iPad Air 2 (which exhibits no problems in any other apps) or Auria is incredibly buggy.
Im hesistant to work in this $50 app i just bought.....

Hey hey. I've experienced something similar, when I have been trying to freeze the effects on tracks - The frozen tracks seem to get corrupted and include bits of sound from other tracks in the project. It seems to be associated with running short on system resources – I can restart the iPad and it works fine.

I've noticed some quirky, buggy behavior with iOS 10.1.1 on my Air 2 as well.
Re: A very strange bug, and its a big one
Restarting does not fix my problems, and i hadnt bounced anything....

Empt
Sorry to hear about your problems - but they sound unique; I haven't come across any mention of these before.
Are you using an external audio interface?
Have you tweaked the in/out matrix?
Are you using aux sends or busses?
As mentioned, some users have had some bumps on iOS 10, are on that?
Have you Audiocopy installed? There have been some reports of odd behavior with it. Also, the app Ultimate Guitar was causing some strangeness at one point.
But all in all it sounds like you have a bad install. It may be worth trying (AFTER BACKING UP YOUR PROJECTS TO YOUR PC OR DROPBOX) deleting and reinstalling AP. Most folks with problems finds this process resolves them.
Best of luck
