Low Level on Mixdown to Dropbox

Post by leem » Tue Nov 01, 2016 1:45 pm

It seems that when I mixdown directly to Dropbox, the overall level is very low. If I mixdown to email, I get the right output level. Is there some setting related to dropbox?

I haven't found a workaround, other than boosting the master fader when mixing down to dropbox. Hopefully this something that can be fixed in an update release. Good to know I am not the only one seeing it.

I don't see an issue here in my testing. A local or Dropbox mixdown results in the same volume for me here. One thing that can cause what you're seeing is going from mono to stereo or vice versa. For example, if you take a mono track and mix it down to a stereo mixdown, the result will be lower in volume. This is normal, and is caused by the way panning works in modern DAWs. You can change this behavior by changing the panning law in the settings page.

I am pretty sure that I am doing stereo mixdowns, but will doublecheck
