Shelf filter shape >- and -< ????

Post by Mgray » Mon May 23, 2016 1:56 am

I'm having trouble finding simple explanations and figuring out what the top shelf filter shapes mean, the ones that look like >-- and --<
I'm also not sure I fully understand the bottom two either. The middle shape looks like a basic bandpass eq filter, but there must be something more to it. The bottom shape looks like a typical shelf shape. But that top shape has me completely confused.

I'd really appreciate anyone who could shed some light on these for me.

Thanks

The top two shapes located where the 'In' buttons are, simply are telling you that that section of the EQ is the High and Low shelf filter.
Pressing the 'In' button will engage that section of the filter.
The switch that has a bell curve on top and shelf on the bottom is your control for the steepness of the shelf filter (middle or down) or to switch to a bell mode (up)

Let me know if that helps clarify

I think I got it now thanks. So switch up is bell, middle is steep slope shelf, and switch down is regular slope shelf?
