iRig Keys Pro + Auria Pro = ##^%*%+????
iRig Keys Pro + Auria Pro = ##^%*%+????
Hello
I use iRig keys pro midi keyboard.
And Before purchasing Auria Pro I have read that there is no better for final mastering on iPad than Auria pro
So
Now I am newbie in Auria
But not newb in music production
My keyboard works perfectly with any kind of music app
But not with Auria Pro
I checked all midi settings — everything is ok
Also I learned here on forum that if you want to hear the internal sound with external keyboard the track you want must be in rec-ready mode (why so strange?? Why? )
But it doesn'nt work also to me
But it works good in inter-app/virtual midi mode!!
Internal sounds of Lyra for exsample I can use and hear only if I toch the iPad screen keyboard
I tried to unplug/re-plug, to re-start/re-load. Nothing changes.
Please, anyone, help me with it?
What am I doing wrong?

Re: iRig Keys Pro + Auria Pro = ##^%*%+????
Things you are doing wrong:
How are you set up?
Which are your midi settings?
Have you set correctly the input in the fx window?
Auria is not a synth so having to arm rec is mandatory if you don't want to record to all the n midi tracks you have in your project. And actually every daw I know works like that.

Re: iRig Keys Pro + Auria Pro = ##^%*%+????
I use the regular iRig keys all the time. Works just fine. I do occasionally have problems where I'm not getting any input. I unplug, shut everything down, and reboot the iPad, and it comes up.
Re: iRig Keys Pro + Auria Pro = ##^%*%+????
Finally, after 8 times of unplug/replyg it works.
That's absolutely not understandable, why it doesn't "just works"?
Think this topic must be closed
Thanx

You payed 55$ for app that restarts ipad every day?.
Developers!
Why does it happend??
Re: iRig Keys Pro + Auria Pro = ##^%*%+????
I guess it is rather an USB/interface problem.

Just a suggestion:being a little more polite is not a bad thing per se.mixmaker wrote:Whatt?????rickwaugh wrote:I use the regular iRig keys all the time. Works just fine. And he meant he is restarting the ipad manually and not auria is doing it.In this (or his)case it looks more like an USB connection error (like phil said) and not necessarily aurias fault.
iPad Air 2 - WiFI - 128GB - iOS 9.1 - Auria Pro 2.01 - Roland Duo Capture EX

But he need to do that because Auria forces him....
This is not good, really.
Re: iRig Keys Pro + Auria Pro = ##^%*%+????
I use an iRig keys with Auria Pro on my iPad Air 1 (latest version of iOS), and outside of a single time I lost the connection (fixed by unplugging and re-plugging the keyboard and restarting Auria) I've not experienced any of the issues you've described.
I'm sure your situation is extremely frustrating, but there are many different device/iOS version/available memory/active plugins loaded/app in the background combinations that could be responsible for problems with a particular setup. I haven't noticed hordes of distressed iRig keys users howling for Rim's head, so I'm guessing that most of us have setups that are working fine. Again, that obviously doesn't relieve your pain, but it does suggest that the issues you are experiencing are uncommon, and will likely require some in depth troubleshooting.
