Recording, mixing, and mastering in Auria pro
Recording, mixing, and mastering in Auria pro
Any tips are greatly welcomed here. I've been using nuendo and Logic Pro for years but with the release of Auria pro and the iPad pro my mobile solution has been answered.... My question, is recording in 96k really possible it seems 44.1 is flawless but 96k draws a lot of power. Is there a power saving solution? I've always recorded in 44.1 but I have the apogee mic and wanted to try and take advantage of the 96k resolution they say there is a big difference. Also my mixing is coming along but what do you all suggest for mastering plug ins?
Re: Recording, mixing, and mastering in Auria pro
The Fabfilter Limiter, (Fabfilter-L) is an amazing plugin for mastering. Easy to use, you can easily see what's going on, and whatever secret sauce they put in, it just seems to make things beautiful. Not cheap, but worth it, as are all their plugins.

Sweet are you using 44.1 or 96k?
Re: Recording, mixing, and mastering in Auria pro
I use 44.1. Never tried 96, I'm not sure I could tell the difference, and I'm just posting to SoundCloud.

I master to 24 bit. Beforehand setting the mixer to 64 bit. And any Fabfilters with Oversampling go to 4 X. Slower Mixdown, but higher quality processing.

Ok.... Thanks I was wondering the quality difference I'm gonna do a test I was told the vocal quality and plug in quality is a major difference when you send the final product out I'll let you know.

Does it make a big difference to mix with the 64 bit mixer or not? Not sure if I can tell the difference
