Why were we not told about PSP sale?

Post by AndyE » Tue Dec 02, 2014 12:37 pm

Does anyone else think it would have been nice if either PSP or Wavemachine Labs had posted details of the IAP sale here on the Auria forum instead of us finding out through another forum. We could quite easily have missed it. Was the sale some kind of secret? Are they always conducted in this clandestine manner?
Surely we on this forum are the very people who need to know these things. Bit embarrassing when they're talking about it on Audiobus forum before we find out. A bit like your mates finding out your wife is pregnant before you do!
Just sayin'........don't want any trouble mister!!!

Yeah, I agree. I didn't like the last minute nature of it either. The plugins are all made by other companies, and we basically have zero control over what happens with them. All the money goes directly to them, so we really have no say about pricing. PSP emailed us Sunday night and asked to put all the PSP plugins on sale the next day, so we did our best to let people know as soon as we heard...

What does it matter? They are on sale until the 9th. Get on with it. :D

I have picked up the microwarmer before, and just picked up pianoverb2. Any other recommendations? The oldtimer compression looks interesting, but I'm not sure it's that much better than what comes build in to Auria.

Rickwaugh. It matters because it was initially a one day sale and we all could have missed it. Imagine if they put Fabfilter plug ins on sale and didn't tell us. Imagine how pissed we would feel if they didn't tell us. Don't know how you can possibly say "what does it matter". It matters to Auria users. Maybe not you, obviously. This forum is for voicing our thoughts and opinions. That's what I'm doing. Don't need you telling me to get on with it. If you have nothing beneficial to add, don't post. That simple.

Didn't realize it was just a one day sale originally. So I was wondering what the griping was for. Sounds to me like a screw up between them deciding to put stuff on sale and getting word out, because there is really no point in doing one without the other. Anyhow, they are still on sale, so that's what the getting on with it was about. Still available to us all now.

The original post was on the day of the so called 'one day' sale. That's why I was asking why we weren't told. Because I thought a lot of Auria users may have missed out. But since then they extended the sale. Anyway, all friends again now!!!

I've asked PSP to give us a bit of notice next time, so we can properly spread the word.

The Old Timer has it's own vibe. I often use it on bass, and it sounds sweet on my daughter's vocals.
