Confused about how to access multiple takes in a track

Really? I have experienced that they don't stay in line when dragging to another track. Is this an option that needs to be enabled or dependent on certain snap settings? Maybe I just missed it, but this would be very helpful. I'll check later to see if my mind is playing tricks on me.

No, it's automatic. Try it, you'll see that it works pretty well. It takes quite a bit of movement to snap it out of that mode.

Well, if we go for the "edit punch-ins on another track" method, is it possible to change track positions on the screen or to add new tracks in between other tracks to make for adjacent edit tracks?

Sure, you can easily move regions from one track to another, like mentioned above. And you can change the order of the tracks too by pressing and holding on the track header on the left and moving it to a new position.

Definitely already high on the wishlist to have record comping / track folder functionality. Not sure if that'll make it into a version soon, but it's something I want to do at some point.
