Firewire to Thunderbolt?

Post by r3watson » Fri Dec 27, 2013 7:30 am

I've got an old Presounus Firepod that is Firewire only. I recall seeing a Firewire-to-Thunderbolt adaptor listed at Apple, but it didn't have the best reviews. Does anyone have any experience using such an adaptor, or an older Firewire interface with Auria?

Thanks

You may be confusing thunderbolt with lightning. iPad has a lightning connector, and there are no firewire to lightning adapters. Macbooks have thunderbolt. Even if there was such an adapter, it wouldn't work, since iOS only supports USB audio.

Ah, yes, thunderbolt and lightening, very, very frightening, Galileo!

Sorry for the bad pun, and, yes, I had confused my connector terminology.

Thanks
