Wish list for 2014 for Auria

Post by mtingle » Fri Dec 20, 2013 10:16 am

not much really, Auria really does a great job!

couple of small things would help me at least:

1. a very robust and easy to use (faff free!) consolidate project button ie. delete all unused audio and trim ends etc

2. somehow bring the UI efficency back to how it was before iOS 7 was released. Auria edit screen is now a pig to use on big projects and I'm on an ipad 4.

3. one click 'loop to selected regions' button, honestly its a life saver we need this button!

that's it! 2013 has been a great year for ipad music and Auria has been a big part of this audio revolution for me.

Thank Rim and team!

Also I would like to see if possible less CPU use in projects , I was very amazed how the developer of Caustic was able to
keep the CPU use very low.

!
This and 1000 times this.

I simply can't use auria in the provided way anymore.I always had bigger projects.Rim mentioned that apple screwed it up,that makes it even more worse. They have enough to do to get other iOS7 shit together.Though i'm asking myself why auria is the only app making trouble for me.It also means:why should apple change something if it affects only one(?)app?Never expected this to say but currently my hopes are more into cubasis delivering automation soon and make IAA somewhat more reliable.i try to not think about all my Fabfilter and PSP goodies now...

There's a fix on the way for this issue. We had to completely rewrite the editor to do it, but you'll like the results. Apple still has this issue, and they're aware of it, but I couldn't wait any longer for them to fix it. There's still a lot of testing to go before we release the update, but it's on the way.

That is the best thing I could hear today. [teardrop][/teardrop]

Thanks Rim and Wavemachinelabs for being proactive about workarounds for the OS bugs.

1) ability to color code the track "lanes" - where the main faders are located....
2) the ability to save metadata via simple text files for each project -you could
use it to hold case notes, like "used the '59 les paul thru the Bogner Ecstasy for the solo"...etc. etc.

Any chance of having the eight buses accessed by a matrix? If other words, instead of aux sends (or in addition), let tracks route to multiple buses with the ability to adjust how much for each? So in effect, eight aux knobs addressing the existing eight buses? Harrison mix bus does this and it works well (one of the few things in that program that does work well!).

Hi guys! :)

The one thing I would like the most is - better handling of automation - finding, displaying, & editing. We have a touch screen, why can't we draw lines & curves with our fingers?

Auria has the best automation on iOS, & I will use it on everything once it gets perfected!

Thanks for reading, I wish everybody a Merry Xmas & a Happy New Year! <3 xxXxx

This is good news indeed. It will be a welcome relief to have Auria back to full strength. I love making big projects!
