I keep seeing interfaces say they have 18 inputs, but they're refering to maybe 6-8 analog in's, 2-ch of S/Pdif, and 8 channels of ADAT input. I don't currently have a lightpipe interface so I can't take advantage of these anyway.
So...
I saw a thread on the Audiobus forum where someone stated that these audio interfaces with ADAT ports cause Auria to use extra CPU even when not being used. Can anyone confirm this?

That's not true. Auria only uses extra CPU in the mixer if you add more tracks, not inputs. Extra inputs don't take any processing or memory.
