How to config Apogee Duet iPad into Auria
How to config Apogee Duet iPad into Auria
I have an Apogee Duet for iPad.
When I connect microphone to Apogee IN number 1, Auria reproduces the sound of it panned to the left. What can I do to avoid this behavior and get the microphone by default into the center?
Right know, I am using it only for live playing (as a first step).
Regards,

Just add a new track and make sure you set it to be a MONO track.

Hi Rim,
Is it not possible to get it to work into a stero track panned to the center?

Re: How to config Apogee Duet iPad into Auria
The routing doesn't quite work that way. When you record a stereo track, Auria expects to see signal on both L and R inputs of that track. The pan knob on stereo tracks is actually a "balance" knob, so it adjusts the balance between the L and R channels for that track. Is there a reason why you're not creating a mono track when you're recording mono sources? This is the normal way to do it. If you want to add stereo effects to that mono track, you can easily do it by choosing the "Mono to Stereo" version of the plugin.

Hi Rim,
Thank you for your explanation.
What happen if my interface would be an Apogee ONE with only one mic input?

Auria detects one channel interfaces and copies the audio to both channels automatically, so mono and stereo tracks are the same when using one channel interfaces.

The good part is that even if it is a mono track, you can add stereo effects to it and bounce to a stereo track afterwards.

Re: How to config Apogee Duet iPad into Auria
I'm really newbie recording. I have mixed many songs using midis converted to audio using VSTs and RTAS, but this is my first time using this kind of interfaces and/or recording functions.
My first steps are oriented to live playing (Saxophone). Do you know if there is any kind of guide about what each additional plug-in contents? I would like to explore more effects plug-ins into Auria: Reverb, Delay, Equalizers, Etc. which could be usefull (by now) for live performance.
