Does Focusrite 6i6 require USB bus power?

Post by Zippydog » Tue Sep 03, 2013 4:06 pm

I am considering buying a Focusrite 6i6 interface for use with Auria, but hoping USB bus power can be avoided and the unit will run under AC power instead. Can anybody using this interface advise either way?

Thanks!

The Scarlett 6i6 does not Bus Power. It requires use of the included adapter.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

AWESOME - thanks so much Katherine for the quick reply! I was hoping to avoid the extra fuss of adding a USB bus - good news!! I think I've found my interface!

That a great interface , but if you want to add a external controller
you still got to use a power bus, that's why I use the Scarlett 2i2 .
Love it, it's works just fine , it's bus power.

Thanks y'all - bought the 6i6 today. As a newbie, not sure I'm qualified to post first impressions, but I'll try soon once I have some. Have a project to dive into upon arrival. Cheers!
