It's possible that you have regions buried under other regions. Every time you record in Auria, it creates a new region. If you rewind and record again, and forget to undo the last recording (or manually delete it), you'll have a new region on top of the old one. Perhaps this is happening in your case.

Dropbox errors can be caused by several things: the project could be too large for your account, it could have illegal characters in the name, or it could be too large to transfer.

Hi Rim
Got a different Dropbox problem.
Trying to 'menu->save project to Dropbox' but its crashing and closing Auria.
(Edit: it's not closing Auria, just minimising it)
Worked fine yesterday.
Have sent the crash report, but any ideas? Doing it every time.
I've already tried closing and reopening Auria, closing all other apps, and rebooting the iPad.
Ta,
Rich

If this happens every time with the same project, could you send me the project?

Thanks,
Rim

I recommend iFunBox, it's easier and more reliable than iTunes (and free). Then zip it and dropbox it to rim at drumagog (dot com).

Thanks,

My problem project now crashes Auria when I just try and load the project.
This has since also happened with another two projects.
I've been able to create new projects and import the audio files, but it's a drawn out process as all sequencing is lost.
So, turned from a Dropbox issue to a projcts(s) crashing issue.
Getting very frustrated.

There might be something that the Dropbox export is doing to all your projects. Could you send me the corrupted project?

I can, and will, send you the corrupted project (tonight), but I don't think Dropbox is the problem.

I'm getting the memory error, but have no other apps open (double clicked home, etc.), and this is happening on projects that I've never exported to Dropbox. Also, if I try and load a snapshot no snapshots appear to select from (I know there should be as I created some).

I began to wonder if there was some kind of issue where Auria as an entity (the program plus all project, preset, backup, etc files) was being preloaded into RAM and overloading it, but then why would some projects work and others not. Plus the RAM and CPU usage appears to be low.

As well as sending you the problem project I'm going to use iFunBox to backup all my files and then delete and reinstall Auria. I might try copying the projects back slowly too, in case I'm introducing some kind of memory usage issue.
(Any thoughts on that?)

(Sorry, this is drifting a bit off topic)

Do you happen to have "auto cleanup" enabled in Auria's settings? I ask because sending a project to DropBox performs an auto cleanup.

OK, I've found the issue. It was indeed related to the cleanup code, which executes every time you upload to DropBox. I've fixed this, and it'll appear in 1.12.

Brilliant! Nice one Rim.
Obviously I'll make sure clean up is turned off for now.
Are my corrupted files still corrupted? Or is there a way to recover them?

I've backed up my entire directory structure to my pc using iFunBox.
I uninstalled/reinstalled Auria, and then copied back firstly the problem project (which worked), and then my other projects (and they also work).
So, brilliant, everything is working again.

(Rim, do you still want me to send you the problem project for analysis?)

I'll follow your advice Rim, and I'll leave cleanup turned off, and I'll not use Dropbox through Auria until the next release.

From this experience my advice to everyone is to regularly back up all of your files. You never what could happen and when you'll need them.
The free Dropbox account doesn't give that much space, so using iFunBox and backup to your pc/mac is probably best.
(Obvious to some, and not meant to sound preach-y, but some may not consider it)

Thanks, no need for that project, as I've figured out the problem.

Still having Big problems getting anything off auria:( i thought maybe it was because id only had the limited version of auria so iv recently upgraded and purchased the full app. But unfortunately still Got the same problem! Cant get Any projects out of auria. Cant send Them to dropbox, soundcloud, email etc cant even copy and paste! Everytime there is an error shown. I hardly use more than 30% of the processor and have more than enough memory so what is the problem? Have tried other recording apps with No problem!
