Hunting Corrupt Files

Post by aapter » Mon Jun 17, 2013 7:34 pm

I'm having an issue where I suddenly lose audio even though my meters are still indicating signal. I'm guessing this is being caused from a corrupt file somewhere. If so, is there any way to find and delete it? Could there be another possibility for this issue?

You're probably right - a corrupt file can cause this to happen. I suggest soloing each track, and playing the song through until you find it.

It seems to happen when I copy the first "A" region from an ABA form and paste it after the B section. Could it be due to a fade I placed at the beginning of the very first A section?

It could very well be. Would you mind sending me the project? It could help me find a bug.

Thanks,

Well, every time I try to upload it to Dropbox I receive an error message. I'll try to make a copy and pull it out of iTunes on my computer and send that way.

If there are any symbols in the name, Dropbox won't like it, so make sure that's not the problem. Otherwise, doing it using iTunes, or iFunBox is the way to go.

I took out the "_" in the file name and Drobox still did not want the project. Perhaps because some of the audio files themselves had special characters in their names? Regardless, I rebuilt my project but uploaded the old version so you can check it out. Invited you via email to the shared project on Dropbox. Let me know if you have any questions.
