1 second of noise wiped out every track.
1 second of noise wiped out every track.
It's probably not an Auria issue. But one second of harsh noise contaminated every track.
I had to trash the whole project. It was going beautifully too.

Re: 1 second of noise wiped out every track.
Were you using a USB interface? Do you have an iPad 2 or 3? If yes, then it might be a coreAudio bug. The best way to solve this is to use a record latency of 4096, and disable USB soft start.

Re: 1 second of noise wiped out every track.
I've had one of these noise things show up as well , I'm on a ipad 4
I pinned it down to drum loop ,I audio pasted on a 40 repeat and it happens right at the end ,it also shows in the pic

Re: 1 second of noise wiped out every track.
That sounds like something entirely different. Let me know how I can duplicate this issue here. Does it only happen when you're using a certain loop?
Thanks,

Re: 1 second of noise wiped out every track.
I'll try a new project, it started like a clic sound but over time it's turned into a horrible kind of sound effect
Re: 1 second of noise wiped out every track.
I can't duplicate it , it's probably a one off but I have noticed when I changed the time to beats and bars. The loop region has slightly over shot the end of the bar and that's the noise I get , when I shorten the region to fit the noise goes
Sorry to mess you about Rim it seems like a one off glitch I've had

Re: 1 second of noise wiped out every track.
It didn't look like that.
It was a white or light gray rectangle across all tracks inside two Auria trim handles at the top.
I'm on iPad 2, 64 G with Alesis ioDock.
Wiped out the project. I had to reconstruct from backup.
The noise was huge. Wave forms all maxxed out for that one second.
And there was no way to undo it.

If this ever happens again, please send me the project, and let me know what you did to make it happen.

Re: 1 second of noise wiped out every track.
I have no clue what I did to make it happen. But the Auria clue is the trim handles at the top.
They exactly corresponded to the noise duration.

Re: 1 second of noise wiped out every track.
You mean the Fade handles?

Re: 1 second of noise wiped out every track.
No.
I meant in the edit screen. There were two handles at the top, spread vertically from 1:25 to about 1:26.
Within those handles, everything was light gray or white. The .wav inside that one-second space looked like
it had been recorded much too loud and clipped out. That was across more than ten tracks.
The handles were an Auria thing. I'm not sure what they are for though.
And I don't see why they would cause the disaster I experienced.
That one second wiped out the project.
Fortunately, I had the project backed up in Dropbox. I was able to download it all again.
But it was a lot of work to reconstruct it.

Re: 1 second of noise wiped out every track.
I'm not sure which handles you mean. Inside each region there are several handles for doing things like creating automatic fades (fade handles), trimming regions (trim handles), automatic looping (loop handle). At the top of the edit screen (where the numbers scroll across), there are loops markers. When you define these, you get a blue transparent overlay on top of your tracks These have their own handles at each end. Also, if you highlight a section of your tracks, you get a white transparent box on top of your tracks.
Which one of these did you see?
Thanks,
Rim

On my iPad, it looked whitish or light gray. I may be color-blind there. Also, I did not notice them at the bottom. But they were probably there.
Unfortunately, I erased that 1 second to get rid of the noise and now I no longer have the handles or the color.
I'm thinking I accidentally activated those handles. But I have no clue what happened in between them.
The volume maxxed out for a little over 1 second. And there was no undo.
Re: 1 second of noise wiped out every track.
I think there are two separate issues here. Lou, if you notice this again, please take a picture of it and post it, so we can see what you mean by the handles you're seeing.
Jus, this sounds like a different issue. Can you duplicate this issue by AudioPasting again, to see if this will happen repeatedly? I'd like to get to the bottom of that if it's a bug. Did you have snap turned on when you imported, and did you time stretch the region after you imported it?
Thanks,
Rim

Re: 1 second of noise wiped out every track.
I saw the handles again tonight. Your right. The color is blue. But it looked whitish or light gray to me on the 1 second wipe-out, because the wave form inside had totally maxed out the track limits during that one second of time.
