Which Interface?

Post by Haywire » Mon May 06, 2013 8:42 pm

I have been recording using Auria and the AT2020 USB mic. I am looking to up my game with a dual mic setup and MIDI. I like the Apogee products for the fact that they charge the iPad but I would have to go with at least the DUET to get the features that I want. And I really don't want to spend that much money. Anybody have thoughts on the Focusrite 2i4? Do you have to use a USB powered hub to use it?

We were blown away after switching from GarageBand to Auria. You can hear my first go at Auria here: https://soundcloud.com/sam-patton-2/ill-go-on

Check out the Roland Duo-Capture EX. It's very affordable, interfaces (including MIDI) really well with the iPad and sounds great.

Instead of popping up here and plugging your own interface, (which is clearly not going to suit someone who's after a couple of channels, probably with mic and instrument inputs), why don't you concentrate on doing something useful, like putting some specs on your website, like S/N ratio, Max headroom, THD etc. That would be a bit more professional, don't you think?

The specs are in the manual...sorry...not trying to be a mfg. troll...just thought he might like to use it with his mixer. Have a nice day Dominic.
