I notice when using the ADAT ports on the babyface, the outputs seem to be all screwed up.
I can get signal to all 8 individual inputs as expected but when there are some outs not working at all while others double up.
I cannot get any audio to come out of Adat 3, 7 or 8.
If I send to output 5, it actually appears out Adat 1.
Similarly, out 6 comes out Adat 2.
Output 8 appears from Adat 4,
output 9 comes out Adat 5,
output 10 comes out Adat 6.
This is consistant across all sub groups in the output matrix.
I'm wondering if it's because I'm using a non apple CCK.... ????
Or is it software related ??
Anyone else having this issue ??

Babyface output routing issues.
Re: Babyface output routing issues.
It wouldn't be related to the CCK (it would either work or not work at all). I'm not an expert on the babyface, but some interfaces put their SP/DIF inputs and outputs in between the built in inputs and the ADAP inputs. For example Mic1 Mic2 SPDIF1 SPDIF 2 ADAT1 ADAT2 ADAT3, etc. Not sure if that's what's going on in your case. Also, it might be something you need to set up in your Babyface control panel app (maybe you have a certain custom routing set up there). If you don't get any answers here, I suggest posting on the RME forum, as they are pretty responsive over there as well.

Thanks Rim,
I'll get on to RME.
There are specific setups you have to do when the babyface' is put into class compliant mode... but I don't remember seeing anything about routing.
Curious.....
