Double tapping on the rew button takes you to the beginning of the song, so I can't add anything to that button. In 1.08, I added functionality to the stop button, so if you double-tap the stop button, it will take you to the start of the locator (not markers though). This makes it very useful when using a loop. Double tapping on the stop button takes you to the start of your loop.

I was aware of the double tap on rewind but now this is duplicated by the second double tap on stop. Since returning to start is taken care of by either one or two double taps on stop I thought the arrows could be put to use by moving between markers.

Not sure what you mean by the arrows... which arrows are you talking about? Double-tapping on stop is now reserved for returning to the locator start position, double tapping on fast forward takes you to the end of the song, and double tapping on rewind takes you to the start of the song.

Yes, sorry, the fast forward/rewind buttons, I just called them arrow, less typing.

If DT = double tap
At the moment:
DT on stop goes to locator start (if there is one). Second DT ... Goes to song start.
DT on rewind goes to song start (as does second DT of stop)

I just thought that since going to song start is covered by second DT of stop the DT on rewind/ff buttons could be used to move backwards and forwards through markers.

Hope that makes sense. Not a big deal but i thought it would add useful functionality.

Gotcha, but double tap on rewind is such a commonly used feature. Many DAWs use this for return to zero, so I think changing that behavior could open up a lot of issues for users. Good idea, though.

Hello Rim, I just bought an Apogee Quartet, my intention is to use this as a multitrack playback to play a live concert using Auria, is there a way to do it? I saw that it's only possible to use 4 markers, in order to play live I would need way more than that for each song.

It's a really great suggestion for the future, many people I know are looking for a solution like that.

Thanks

Currently Auria has four markers. It's possible we may add more in the future, but we need a good way to access them through the menu. How many would make sense?

10-15 would be good, but only if they were accessible in a better, more direct way. As it is now, I think 4 are enough.

What about
1. Add/Delete Marker
2. Next / Previous Marker (circular movement 1->last and last->1)
3. Goto Marker by number

Shay, are you talking about having these three entries in the transport menu? How would it work, are you suggesting these three entries for every marker? (that would clutter up the menu pretty fast).

Thanks,
Rim

Hi Rim,

I meant only these entries without marker1, marker2 etc... (I.e. No hard coded ones)
You can add as many markers as you want, delete one by standing on it with play head.
Move left or right between them or to a specific one.

This is similar to bookmarks at development tools.

Hi, Rim! What about markers?
I want to use Auria as playback in concerts (separate click track to drummer, playback tracks to PA System).
Now there are ONLY 4 markers, and no good Marker's List at all.
I need minimum 25-30 markers over timeline, for start of each new song. And I need big Marker's List with marker's rename options, and tapping to the name of marker=go to the marker.
What do you say about?

And other question about midi-track with programed command for midi note. Command "Stop play" in the end of song for example, is it possible to program?
Thanks!

Rim, how do you see this way?
>Transport(or Edit)>Show Marker's List = show at right side column "MARKER'S LIST" (as track inspector at the left, but not fixed, with moving border, so we can make this column as wide to the left as we need).

Instead 9 lines in transport options (create marker 1/2/3/4, go to marker1/2/3/4, clear markers)> make 3 lines:
"+marker" or "add marker" (by bar/beat or min/sec position or by cursor)
" go to the next marker"
" go to the previous marker"

Organization in the column "Marker's List":
1. Any name1
2. Any name2
3. Any name3 ...
Organize markers by bar/beat/min/sec position at timeline.
Plus extra window downside column with BIG LETTERS NAME of playing now marker (for much control at the dark stage)

Rename marker =twice tap to the marker at timeline/or twice tap to the marker name at the Marker's List.
Go to any marker = tap once to marker name at Marker's List.

If you want, I can make photoshop pics what I mean)
Thank, Rim, we want make this app much better all together!
