Import AIFF

Post by pisco » Mon Feb 18, 2013 3:46 pm

Hi,

I attached my Teenage Instrumments OP-1 to the iPad, and wanted to import a track. Pre-listen in the file manager is ok, but the imported result in Auria sounds totally distorted. I ensured that there is no distortion plugin of course. Sounds like a bug. Any clue?

It's possible that OP-1 is not exporting this file exactly to the aiff spec. Are there any options when exporting this file (for example, making it wav instead of aif, bit depth, sample rate, etc.)?

Hello RIM,

no export options. The OP-1 can record up to 4 mono tracks, max. 6 min each track. I just put the OP-1 in Disk mode (acts like a regular mass storage, e.g. usb Stick), so I can access the folders were I can find all 4 tracks. One of them I imported to Auria. IU ihad no problems within other Applications, e.g. Audacity. As I wrote, pre-listening in Auria File Manager was also fine.

Can you send me one of the files? I'd like to see what's going on here.

Thanks,
Rim

I have had similar problems with that but it was only when using higher sample rates. When I brought them down to 44 or 48 no problem.
