Built in / headset mic high pass filter

Post by wal » Thu Jan 03, 2013 2:20 pm

Hi,
Since iOS 6 the option to turn off the built in mic / headset low frequency roll off has been made available in the sdk. And also the limiter I beleive? Has this been implemented in Auria? And if not, can we have the option in an update please?
Thank you...

Yes, this was already available in iOS5, and has always been used in Auria. It's an option called "measurement mode". However, it doesn't turn off all processing. Apple still does something to the mic input (probably a filter), even with measurement mode.

Hi Rim,
Thanks for the quick reply.. The plots of the mic input's frequency response since iOS 6 look pretty good here: http://blog.faberacoustical.com/2012/io ... ic-inputs/
Thanks again,
Wal...
