Presonus 1818 Question

Post by Jus » Mon Nov 26, 2012 2:26 pm

Hi not long had the Presonus But

Noticed that when using the volume buttons on the side of the ipad to control the output volume of the unit
If the volume of the ipad is at say 60%?or less there is nothing coming out of the unit , sound kicks in at above 70% upwards

Is this normal with this setup or does it sound like I have a wrong setting somewhere

Cheers for any replies.

For me, the 1818 works from 0 to 100% normally.

I am also using non-powered hub, as the 1818 has powersupply.

Can you guys tell me, does the powered hub have more to do with the quality of the USB data connection?

Or rather just convenience to allow iPad to charge while in use?

thanx!

that would be nice!

I guess the powered hub prevents the interface to draw power from the iPad, or prevents error messages, something like that. It has been mentioned many times here, but I don't remember exactly.
