Is there anyone using Akai EIE that can confirm whether it can be used to record 4 tracks simultaneously in Auria. I have checked Akais homepage and it states that the EIE only records and plays 2 channels, despite 4 inputs.

Re: Akai EIE
Hello,
We have not tested this interface, so we cannot comment on its compatibility. I would suggest posting in or reading the Interface Working/Not Working forum, which is where someone reported that it was working. It looks like most websites list it as 4x4, so I assume it is possible to record four channels at once.
Best,
Chris

Re: Akai EIE
I own the EIE and it works great- but it only passes 16bit/44.1khz
Since all audio is 24 bit in Auria, the app would tack on 8 blank bits. No big deal,
But it's certainly not a serious solution for the discerning engineer.

Re: Akai EIE
Thanks for your input. 16/44.1 is no problem for my intended use, my main concern was the number of audio channels since I found contradicting info on Akai's website.
