iPad 1 Memory Warnings, Crashes

Post by Charliesunshine » Sun Sep 02, 2012 8:17 pm

Good Evening Gents
I keep running into issues with memory, on even the smallest projects. The Memory Warning will come up etc
and if I don't shut her down, Auria will crash, freeze or some combination of the above.
I'm on the original iPad. All background Apps closed, but still low memory numbers, from the git go.
Love Auria, and the whole idea, looks great, intuitive to work with but frustrating when it crashes.
Anyone else on iPad 1 w/ similar memory/crash/freeze issues?
Anything I can do to get it working better?
Thanks,
Charlie

Charlie,

Running Auria on an iPad 1 can be a challenge on larger projects. The memory warning is from your iPad itself. When your iPad decides that Auria is using too much memory, it will shut it down without another warning (the iPad 1 has only a very small amount of memory). If you're running out of memory after using effects like Convolution reverb or others, I suggest bouncing those tracks, so you don't have to use the effects all the time.
