Sounds like there could be two separate problems here. The reason for the crash is most likely because of low memory. Your iPad will automatically shut down an app if it runs out of memory. It's important to keep an eye on the memory meter in Auria, and shut down all your background apps.

The reason for not hearing any audio could be caused by several reasons. Do you see any movement on the master meter? Make sure that SOLO is not engaged. If you see the SOLO label flash at the top, just tap on the word, and this will disable all SOLOs.

Try rebooting your iPad as well. To shut down your iPad, hold the power button down for 5 or 6 seconds.

OK, I know what happened most likely. The download must have been corrupted, and there's probably no audio files (wav files) loaded. This is why there's nothing playing.

I recommend trying the download of the demo song again.

That's highly unusual, as no one else ha reported problems like this here. I wonder if your iPad is out of disk space? Maybe try to delete Auria completely, so it no longer exists on your iPad, then reinstall it.

Is this an iPad 3?

Thanks

Maybe I'm not understanding exactly what issue you're having. Can you describe exactly the steps you're taking to make it crash? This will help in case there's a misunderstanding.

For example, here's what I do (and it works fine):

On an iPad 2:

1. Close all background apps, and start Auria fresh (so you see the Auria logo)
2. Click on Auria Store
3. Click on Demo Projects
4. Click on "The Approach"
5. Click on FREE
6. Wait until it has finished.
7. Press Play. The song plays fine. No crashes.

Thanks,

I just tried all three songs - The Approach, Don't Ever Wanna Be Found and I Only Wanted, and it didn't crash on our iPad 2.

The download takes three steps:

Downloading
Uncompressing
Processing Audio Files

Which step causes the crash for you?

The last step, "Processing Audio Files" take a very long time (up to 10 minutes on some iPads). Are you sure you're providing enough time? Sometimes this stage will look like it's frozen, but it is still processing.

Maybe it's a problem of a corrupted download the first time, then the second time it won't complete because some of the download is already in the folder? I am purely guessing here, I don't know for sure, but perhaps you could try this:

Open iTunes, go to iTunes File Sharing, Click on Auria, then look for the two demo songs. Delete them if they exists (just press the Del button on your keyboard). Then try to re-download them again.

That's strange, as it works great here on all our iPads. What model iPad are you using?

Do you have enough free disk space? This could cause the issue. Please check the amount of space available. You can do this by going to the iPad settings.
