Has anyone tried the Signature series with Auria?

Loudpipes,

I just heard back from the project manager at Soundcraft about the Soundcraft Signature Series boards. He said the boards are indeed USB class compliant and the MTK (multi-track) versions should be able to send all i/o and use USB return with iOS and Auria.
However, they have run into an issue with the Camera Connection Kits and connectivity to iPads. I am awaiting a unit from them so we can help troubleshoot where things may be going wrong.
They wanted Auria users to know that they will have full compatibility coming very soon and know that iOS will be supported into the future.

this sounds promising, would love to use the MTK12 with Auria. It's an ideal match.

I just got word from Soundcraft this morning that I should have a board for testing in the beginning of July. They are modifying some of the PCB's for the next round of production and hope to have the board fully iOS compatible by the end of the summer. I'll post my findings as soon as I get the board in house.

Any news about these working/not working with iPad/Auria?

they've not been released to the public yet so no one has tested. Due out in October (apparently).

I got word from Soundcraft that they pulled back production due to having to modify the power supply before shipping. I will keep you guys posted if I end up getting one in the shop soon.

Yep. All good. The boards are all fully functional with iOS and work and sound great. Both the MTKs and non-MTK Signature boards have been added to the interface compatibility list.

Hi Cory,
So this is with the additional camera kit? It won't work right out of the box?
Thanks!

Yes, you need both the Apple CCK and a USB Powered Hub. Unfortunately it does not work straight out of the box.

Hi Corey,

I have a question, so you connect iPad first with CCK and after plug into USB powered hub (for example 7 USB port-hub) and then plug in the Soundcraft?

And will other USB midi controllers (for example keyboard) work with Auria Pro by connecting the same USB powered hub?

That is correct. You can plug in the Signature board with Auria open or closed on your iPad, no difference. You can add extra USB devices to the powered hub and those too will be recognized by iOS and Auria.

Could you please clarify the ROLE Of the USB HUB. I have plugged my Signature 12 MTK direct to my IPAD using the CCK with the USB HUB and it seems to record fine??

Is this only for charging purposes?

Thanks,
