working with IAA

Post by Phil999 » Mon Oct 14, 2013 11:09 am

Applies to iPad 2-4: there are some tips how you can get a good performance without problems, or at least with less problems:

- before starting a session, shut down all apps.
- run Auria first.
- set the record buffer according to your iPad CPU.
- optional: set the mixer to 32-bit.
- load one app, record a track, and after you're happy with it, unload that app. Save a snapshot. If you don't plan to record another track with that app, shut it down completely.
- use Auria's internal effects only when really needed. Try to finish tracking (recording tracks) first.
- after finishing tracking, unload and shut down the last app, save another snapshot, and you're ready for mixing, or recording microphone as usual.

When your audio begins to sound strange, when it starts stuttering, it is probably one of the points above you haven't followed (buffer size too low, too many apps running, etc.).

Recording has never been so easy... [/sarcasm]
You mean I don't have to hop on one foot and chant to the recording spirits anymore?
