Conv reverb bugs

Post by Spud » Sun Sep 15, 2013 5:52 pm

Hi folks. I'm having trouble with, I think, the conv reverb plugin with the Hybrid1 IR pack. It seems that after changing settings in this plugin, Auria will lose audio, with level meters registering a level but not moving. On restarting the app it will try to start but crash again, firing up ok on the next restart. Then, sometimes after the crash the conv reverbs will have become mono where they were stereo before, and need to be reinserted. Project has only 2 tracks, with a couple of pro q's and a micro warmer. Making the app almost unusable at the moment.

On the new update today, the conv rev level meters are just pegged at full scale, no movement.

Cheers !

Also, the knobs on the Conv reverb seem to be stuck in rotary mode even with the main setting to linear.

Cheers

I can confirm that, since the 1.120 upgrade, the Conv Revb's meters are stuck on full scale and the knobs are rotary only :(

Other plugs are doing it too I've now found. I haven't been able to invoke the crash I was getting yet, but the insert fx are not behaving properly and need resetting often as the stereo image becomes strange - unbalanced and really wide on a mono track, even with the mix control set to zero.

I'm seeing this here too. Which plugins are affected so far?

Thanks,

Seems like maybe the only thing on my system not affected is the pro q. Channel strip is also affected.

Any ideas on the other bugs in my first post Rim?

Thanks for the quick response!

All these bugs may be related. It seems our 1.12 build might have gotten corrupted somehow. I will check some things and post back soon.

Oh that's got to be annoying for you guys. For your info, the other bugs(not the level meter and rotary control issue) were happening before the update, using an AAF file imported from another auria user. Ipad 4. Cheers.

You have no idea...

For your other issue, I'd love to see that project, if you wouldn't mind sending it to me.

Thanks,
Rim

Do you have an email address I can send a link to? Also, do you want AAF export or save to Dropbox?

Thanks for the assistance and good luck with the other issues, not much fun by the sounds of it.

Had this happen again last night but with the microwarmer. Weird hf loop type bursts of noise on bypassing and enabling the plugin, then one level meter pegged in the plugin. Man I hope you can fix this soon so I can continue the project :-(

I have seen this happen when using the In buttons to bypass an effect. Did you do this when it happened?

Yes I think so. I think the plugins then need removing and reinserting to work correctly again.

Right, I suspected that. This is on my list to fix, but in the mean time, don't use the In buttons on mono or mono/stereo effects.
