Hold the front page, important bug found

Post by mtingle » Thu Jul 18, 2013 3:52 pm

pretty important IMO.

Here's how to repeat it.

- make a new project
- go to to edit screen
- turn snap to beats, turn format to bars:beats
- mark out a loop with the locators starting at 1 and any length.
- now zoom in as far as you can onto beat 1
- you will see a very small gap between 1 and the in-marker

This is not cosmetic as when you make a mixdown between locators this new region made starts at this offset. This will have a very annoying knock on effect of copying and pasting and make all your timing slightly out. Your stereo imaging of the song would start to blur and get progressively worse as the song went on and you'd never know why.

What's your tempo and time signature in this test?

OK, I found the issue. This only occurs when trying to snap right at 0. I've fixed it, and it'll appear in 1.11

Thanks!
