Audiobus problem - Low signal via USB

Post by koval33 » Sat Apr 27, 2013 12:51 am

Hi
I'm very exited beacause of Auria and I've never thought that I could make my projects only using iPad :D
But a couple a days ago I found some bug.
I connect iPad to USB Alesis speakers via lightning printer interface. If I use simple player all works fine but using Auria signal level is poor and I hear hum in the background.
Moreover I see some error notification regarding audiobus.
Could you help with fixing this bug?

All the best
Paweł

The audiobus error is not related. This happens if you open or close other audio apps in a certain order. If this error occurs, just make sure you close all apps (including Auria) by double tapping on the home button.

Hum is caused by a ground loop. You won't hear this hum in other simple playback apps, because the hum is only present when using the inputs. To eliminate the problem, use a different USB hub model, or use better cables. Also, there are ways to get the 1818 to work with a regular (unpowered) hub. If you do a search on this forum, you should find that method. We haven't tested this ourselves, but other users have used it, and it works for them.
