Mixdown crash

Post by Timepants13 » Sat Oct 27, 2012 3:59 pm

I am trying to mixdown a project but auria keeps crashing every time I try. This is a new development it's been working fine.....the window "creating mix" pops up but as soon as the bar is filled auria force closes. Any idea of what is wrong? The only thing different about this project than my other ones is I have a video synced to the audio. The mixdown with the video sent fine but now I am trying to mix and send the audio only without the video and its crash town.

There's a known bug that should be fixed int he next update relating to very long mixdowns. Is your mixdown long? Also, are you trying to mix down to WAV, AIF, or MP3? Are you also selecting DropBox or SoundCloud?

Thanks,

It's not very long, only about 1m45s. I'm trying to mix it down as an mp3 and I am only sending it to Dropbox not sound cloud. It mixed down and sent the other day as the video with audio I was able to use but now I just need the audio alone.

This could be a dropbox issue. Try unchecking the dropbox option. There shouldn't be a reason why it's crashing for such a short song. Also, you could be getting shut down because of low memory. Check that you don't have any other background apps running.

I tried unchecking Dropbox and I made sure there were no background apps running and tried another mixdown. Still the same result. I also tried freezing more tracks so there would be more working memory. Still closing right after the creating mixdown bar fills up.

That's very odd. I can't get it to crash no matter what I try in the mixdown box. Maybe it's because you have a video loaded. Can you try on another project without the video?

Yeah I loaded up a project without video and it worked fine....mixed down and exported to drop box. I had mixed down the problem project before with the video and it was golden. But now when I'm trying to mix it down without the video it seems to not like that.

OK, thanks. I'll try with a video. If I can get it to crash, it should be an easy fix.

I still can't get a crash to happen, even with a video loaded. It must be something unique about your project that's causing this. Could you send me your project, including the video?

Thanks,
