Importing wav files from dropbox

Post by Marts500 » Mon Oct 15, 2012 2:20 pm

I have a wav sound effect i have tried over and over again to import into my project without luck. The progress bar fills up then the actual file completely disappears.Do the wav files have to be under a certain length or size bitrate etc..
I have had no problems with any other files btw..

What is the spec of the file: mono/stereo, sample rate, bit depth, duration? Is it definitely a PCM wave file?
There's a free utility called MediaInfo (for desktop/laptop) which is great for checking out every attribute of a file.
If all else fails, try 'bouncing' it to a new regular wave file on a PC/Mac before importing it.

I'm on the mixing secrets website where they have multitrack demos available. I have the zip file and the unzipped file in my Auria folder on Dropbox but I can't import the file. It would help if Auria saw the file, hence my problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! The URL is http://www.cambridge-mt.com/ms-ch15.htm

Thanks!
Howell
