Recording level knob still not working for Apogee Jam
I know it listed as fixed for the 1.03 update, but I just tested it last night and it's still not working for me. Btw, i'm running Auria version 1.03.1

Give me an example of what you're doing. For example, this works fine for me:
1. Create a new project (2 tracks)
2. Press record on track 1
3. Hold down the record button until the menu appears
4. Select the "Record Level" option
5. The record level knob pops up
6. Adjust the knob - works fine

I'm at work now, but i'll try it with a new 2 track project just as you describe, and get back with you...i know you must get tired of hearing this, but thank you for developing such a great product!Rim wrote:Give me an example of what you're doing. For example, this works fine for me:

Re: Recording level knob still not working for Apogee Jam
It works great if I create a new project, but if I try to create a new track in an existing project, or record over an existing track then the record level doesn't work. Strange. Possible bug, or user error.fusionarts wrote:I'm at work now, but i'll try it with a new 2 track project just as you describe, and get back with you...i know you must get tired of hearing this, but thank you for developing such a great product!Rim wrote:Give me an example of what you're doing. Re: Recording level knob still not working for Apogee Jam
It's possible that's a bug. If you could send me a project where this doesn't work, I'll have a look and see if I can figure out what's going on.
Thanks,

Re: Recording level knob still not working for Apogee Jam
I've been investigating this issue and it's a little more complex than at first sight. I have only an Apogee Jam and the internal mic to work with but the issues apply to both equally. Someone else will need to check if multi-input devices also exhibit the symptoms, or some of them.
In a nutshell, the Record Level knob (previously described) 'seems' to adjust the input gain on Track#1 (I.e. the monitor output varies in amplitude and the track's meter reflects this). With any other track, however, the knob does not affect the input gain and it remains at its default level.
I said '"seems' to" because a recording made on Track#1 actually occurs at the same, unadjusted input gain as other tracks (I.e. the default level). The only way to make the input gain 'real' is to check the check/select the 'Record Effects' option in the pop-up menu where 'Set Record Level' was found earlier. Unfortunately, this workaround is of little use if you wish to monitor with FX but record dry. Also, it doesn't work with tracks other than #1.
All tracks and effects used for testing were mono.
In the process of investigating, I discovered other issues:
If 'Disable Effects While Recording' = YES, in Settings, checking the 'Record Effects' option in the track record-enable pop-up menu has no effect and effects are not actually recorded. This may be intentional behaviour but, if so, it's counter-intuitive.
Double-tapping the Record Level knob, if viewing the Edit Window, does not reset the knob to 0dB (as it does while viewing the Mix window). BTW, is the default value supposed to be 0dB or -2.38dB?
Tap-holding the track record-enable button on the Edit Window does not produce a pop-up menu (as it does on the Mix window). Feature request?
Hope all this helps you to find the cause more easily, Rim.

Thanks, this is all great info, and I should be able to get all this fixed in the next update.
Thanks again,
