8 ch mobile recording

Post by marcez » Sat Sep 01, 2012 6:41 am

I've a focusrite Scarlett 18i6 and a new iPad 16gb

I would like to record 8 analog channels.
2 condenser mics for the drums
2 dynamic mics for the drums
1 dynamic mic for the voice
1 line for the bass
2 lines for the keyboard

The audio card has only two preamps mic input.
Which is the best solution?
A 4 or 8 preamp with the Adat cable or input output jack cables?
Thanks for the help.

The Presonus 1818vsl has 8 XLR inputs with preamps built-in (and will also accept an ADAT-compatible preamp). Or, you can use your existing Focusrite interface and just add an ADAT preamp (like the behringer AD8000).
