In-app download problem

Post by mtclearwave » Sat Aug 11, 2012 6:33 am

Is any one else having trouble downloading in-app purchases? I have not been able to download them in Auria although I can download in-apps from other apps. I've tried re-downloading, re-installing. rebooting, logging out/in to the app store. Each time I try, I get the following screen, There was an error making the purchase. Please try again later. Any suggestions are much appreciated. I am using an iPad 2 Wifi 5.1.1

That particular error can happen as a result of having a jailbroken iPad with in-app cracking software installed. If you've installed this kind of software, remove it, and you should be able to make the purchase.

Ok. Thanks - I removed hackulo.us. But that did not solve the problem. Do I have to remove Cydia too?

No, you shouldn't need to remove Cydia. Did you reboot? It's possible that it's still running on your iPad.

Also, make sure you remove any certificates you've installed and any custom DNS settings.

It might be easier to simply reinstall the OS from scratch, restoring everything back to normal. Auria works fine with jailbroken iPads, just not with any cracks that would enable free purchases.

You're using pirated software and IAP hacks and come here asking for help? Wow...

I'm sure Auria runs fine on JB iPads but you will likely gain a bit of ram memory removing your jailbreak..

Rim -Removing those app cracking apps did the trick. My iPad is still jailbroken and I am now able to download the in-apps. Thanks for your help.
