Specifically, what is it like in terms of audio quality?

Some reviewers have said it's pretty noisy but they would probably have had it connected to a laptop or something. I was wondering how the Phonic Firefly 808 performs when used with (the amazing) Auria. 8 analogue inputs is all I'll need and I like the simplicity of this thing but not if it adds hiss.
