New features IAP?

Post by richardyot » Wed Jan 16, 2019 4:42 am

I would love to see some more features added to Auria. Obviously the App Store model makes it difficult for developers to use the traditional upgrade model, but personally I would be more than happy to pay for some new features via IAP.

Some things I would love to see added:
  • A take system
  • Collapsible track groups
  • A Melodyne style pitch editor
  • A customisable toolbar to minimise menu diving
And of course more licensed plugins, if possible.

A variation on the idea of the customisable toolbar would be to have a scrollable toolbar that groups icons according to the task you are performing. For example one region could have all the transient marker tools - transient editing is one task where there is a ton of menu diving. You could simply scroll of flip or spin the toolbar until it showed the relevant group of icons.

Finally it would also be nice to see some refinement to the overall app, making things like automation editing more touch-friendly.

I'd certainly pay for those features. More likely be an Auria 3.0 update though. I'd also pay for a seemless audio engine (like ableton live), start stop recording on the fly etc.
