Galileo 2 with only one Instance

Post by Donny_2017 » Wed Jun 27, 2018 4:22 am

Hello to all,

is it possible to use one Galileo Organ for 3 Midi channel ?
Galileo can use three Midi channel.
Can Auria pro use 3 tracks to the same AUv3 Unit ?

Auria Pro streams, but with an instrument i must load it 3 times for 3 tracks ?
So the cpu usage is 3 times higher.

Many greetings,

Roland

I just put an inquiry in with Yonac to get a copy of Galileo 2. If no one responds to you before, I will get back to you once I check out the new version of Galileo.

Yes, you can use the 3 MIDI channels available in Galileo 2 but you need to load it as IAA in Auria (not as AU).
Just load Galileo 2 in one MIDI channel as IAA (or in the insert of an audio channel) and three different MIDI tracks in other 3 MIDI channels. Then go to the MIDI control in the channel strip of each MIDI track and set the output to Galileo 2, and the MIDI channel as 1, 2 and 3 respectively (or the channel numbers you have configured in Galileo 2).
This way each MIDI track will trigger a different sound in Galileo 2 (usually the upper, lower and pedal keyboards).

Sorry, just checked and you can also do it with Galileo 2 loaded as AU, but it has to be loaded in the insert of an audio channel. Then the output of the 3 MIDI tracks must be configured as “Plug-In Track x - Yonac Galileo 2” (where x is the channel number in Auria where Galileo 2 is loaded).
