It's been added to Auria 2.17, which is being submitted to beta today. Depending on how long beta testing takes, it could be available in a few days.

Any news from FabFilter about an upgrade deal like there was for Pro-Q and Pro-C?

Yes, the upgrade from Pro-L to Pro-L 2 will be $19.99 (just like what they did from Q to Q2 and C to C2).

Aww balls I just purchased Fabfilter Pro L yesterday then saw this post!

If I'd only waited a few more days.
I tried to refund but there wasn't an option.

Is there any way around this or will I just have to pay for upgrade?
Cheers

If you just purchased, try contacting iTunes Customer Support and tell them you accidentally made the wrong in-app purchase. There is a chance they will refund your purchase so you can pick up L2 when it is released in the next update.

You have to pay another $19.99?

I thought there would be grade period

Hi guys,

We'll offer a version of Pro-L 2 for Auria soon, but not tomorrow. And if you've just purchased Pro-L, don't worry: we'll have a grace period so you'll get the update to v2 for free.

Cheers

I'm not sure why they would have said that. We have no way to supporting a grace period in our plugin store.

The grace period only applies to the desktop version, in that quote they are replying to two separate questions in one sentence, so unfortunately it has been misinterpreted ever since!

Apple really does need to make some changes to the store.

Considering that you are getting the plug in for 10% of the desktop price, I wouldn’t gripe about grace period. $20 to upgrade the L2? No-brainer and thank you.

Here their reply .. fair enough!

Hi Luis,

Posting that in this thread was a mistake on my part. When I posted that, we still hadn't released the regular Pro-L 2 plug-in for which we did offer a grace period and that must have been on my mind.

For the Auria version of Pro-L 2, we are unable to offer a grace period because both we and WaveMachine Labs do not have access to any user data like the date of purchase. Apple simply doesn't provide that information for App Store purchases.

I'm really sorry if you were misled by what I wrote but unfortunately we can't do anything about it now.

Cheers,
