Lyra and MainStage 3.3.2 EXS24 Format

Post by TML » Tue Nov 14, 2017 11:06 am

Hallo,
I use the Auto Sampler in MainStage 3.3.2 to create EXS24 files. I can import and load the files inside Lyra, but the samples will not load (I use the original Auria Version with the Pro Upgrade, Auria Vers. 2.14). Lyra plays instead a sine tone. I tested the EXS24 files with the EXS24 Sampler inside Logic Pro 9.1.8, but they also didn't load. So there must be differences between the EXS24 format inside Logic Pro 9 and MainStage. Can Lyra load these different formats?

Thanks

No, the problem is not a different EXS format - EXS is EXS and Lyra plays it mostly without issues. The problem lies in the audio files - I bet they are in .caf format. Auria cannot read .caf, simple as that, and Rim himself stated it is very complex to add support to .caf so he won’t do anytime soon. Therefore, check your audio files before adding an EXS library to Lyra - if they are in .wav, you’re good to go; if they are in .caf, no dice.

They can also be in aif, mp3 or flac format. Lyra will read those as well.

FLAC? I didn’t know this. Thanks you for the clarification, Rim!

Hi!
This is my first post in this forums.
I downloaded some instruments from the internet to my Mac.
I opened them in Logic and decided to send them to Auria.
When i played with one instrument, a bass, the sound was completely different.

After I checked the interface of the Exs plugin in Logic I noticed that there were several parameters that were being automated by an envelope. So my question is: does Lyra have the same capabilities? Does it have lfos or envelopes to automate certain parameters?
If Lyra doesn’t have these features, will we see some improvements in Lyra in the future?

I want to thank the developers for Auria!!
