Rim thanks very much for adding iOS 11 drag and drop, just test it out , works like a charm.
Also Rim do you have in mind to support AU adjustable size window, i like how it was implemented into the new version of GarageBand, may be you could look into it.

Thanks a lot, Auria is a wonder
I support the request for AU resizable window, as is Model15 is difficult to use in Auria, please check how it works in Aum

The latest version 2.14 isn’t showing up in the app store. Does the update take a few days for Apple to make available?

mine wasn't showing either, then I check the version of Auria I was using and it was 2.14! very strange as I don't have the ipad set to automatic updates. Perhaps the same happened to you.

i just updated Auria on my ipad air and now the app wont stay open on the screen.. you touch the icon to open it and it flashes up for a second and then returns to your desktop.. you can see it still open when you double click the ipad button to switch windows but each time you touch on it, it flashes on screen for a second again and then disappears back to the background and you cant do anything..

check the video to see what I mean...

What exact iPad version do you have? Also, what iOS version? This will help me track down the crash report so I can see what's going on.

Thanks,

The iPad is just 32GB iPad air... model is MD786X/B

iOS version = 8.1.2

I never updated iOS cause the version that came with the tablet has always worked and done what I needed..

Ah, that's probably it. I don't think the new Dropbox SDK works in iOS8, and since I was forced to update their SDK in this version, the entire Auria app needs at least iOS9 as well. I will double check on this. All my test devices are at least iOS9, but I may be able to install iOS8 on an older device to verify this for you. I wasn't aware that anyone was still using that early of an iOS version.

Anyone have any ideas as to why update 2.14 is a no show in the app store?

I can think of a couple of things:

1. Try scrolling down on your Update list. It looks like there's more to see below what's showing (maybe you already tried that).
2. Apple sometimes takes a day or so to propagate all the updates across the world. If it's not there yet in your region, maybe wait until later today or tomorrow to see if it shows up.

please let me know what you find cause I cant use it at all like this.. I would prefer not to update iOS to 11 or whatever it is now, all I see in that is a recipe for slowing the iPad down and I don't want to be cornered into buying another iPad cause this one runs slow after being steered into doing OS updates.

otherwise can you provide a way of turning dropbox off so the app can still run on this older iOS ? I don't use dropbox.. or last resort id still prefer to just run the last install of Auria if there is a way of doing that ? it worked ok..

I'll be able to verify this tomorrow when I can get my older iPad in here for testing. But if it's related to Dropbox, there's absolutely nothing to be done. There's no way to disable the SDK once it's in Auria. Dropbox is either part of Auria or it's not. They dictate what minimum versions they support and as a developer, I have no choice unfortunately if I want to include Dropbox support into Auria.

well it still showed iOS 8 as minimum spec, there was no warning before I did this update it would break compatibility and its not really fair that I just loose the ability to run the app I don't think.. why don't you make dropbox feature as a secondary app or something so Auria compatibility isn't hamstrung by whatever that company chooses to do ?

the reason I'm reluctant to update iOS is when the hardware for these types of devices is even just a couple of years old an OS update seems to have the potential to slow things down and become less usable.. that's what ive come to see on other examples and it appears once you install iOS 11 there's no (endorsed) way to go back to the old version.. I wouldn't be so careful if they allowed you to revert back but they don't..

All this tablet has to do is run a few basic apps, at some point I agree its fair to expect apps wont work with older OS but this device is not anywhere old enough to be throwing it out and buying another one..

First of all, I still have no idea at all if this is caused by Dropbox. It's only a guess on my part, as that's the only SDK I updated in 2.14. The only way for me to be sure is to install iOS8 on an old iPad and test it myself. Please wait for me to do this.
