Hi,
I'm planning to send a couple of songs for a vinyl mastering. Where do I cut the treble and the bass? I want to avoid the risk of distortion and a jumping needle.

I would contact the mastering studio who will be cutting your vinyl record because that is the process of the mastering desk to cut vinyl records. These HP and LP filters are applied at the mastering desk. But if for some reason a vinyl mastering studio doent have this facility, which I doubt, you can simply apply a ProQ at the final stage and use a Low Cut and High Cut to reduce those frquencies. If your doing the mastering for them then you must find out from them what frequencies to cut as that is dependant on the vinyl cutting lathe that they are using. Cheers and good luck.
